Just finished the Fall session of Big and Littles Blogging Network and I have to confess that it didn’t quite work out the way I planned. I came on board as a host and was thrilled to share my experiences, knowledge and even mistakes with another blogger and guess what? Life got in the way. I had to pull my teenager out of public school the week we announced the pairings and then got so inundated with the transition that I was slow to contact my Little. Guess what? Her life happened to get in the way too- she was in the middle of a home addition and needed to get the contractors out of her home. So, we decided it was in our best interest to pass this time.
Here’s the beauty of blogging- when life gets in the way, you work when convenient or even back off. So, while I have to say that this time of Big and Littles didn’t work out the way I planned, I consider it to be a successful failure. Yes, I’m a blogger and businessperson but first and foremost- I’m a mother and my family has to come first. I’m blessed to be in a profession that I can confess that and have people understand. So, thank you to my Little for being so understanding. Please take a moment and check her out at H2O Bungalow. She’s creative and crafty with a great sense of style. I look forward to finally have time to get to know her better as a blogger. I’m sure I have many lessons to learn from her.
I’m looking forward to the next session. There’s so much value connecting with other bloggers to share our wisdom, help each other promote and sometimes just commiserate about all the challenges. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to read everyone else’s stories. If you participated, please be sure to link-up your post and be sure to visit the posts of others. If you didn’t have a chance to participate, take the time to meet some incredible bloggers.
