Rosie was sent code to download the Fashion ID app for free. She was not compensated for this post and all the opinions are ours.
While I’m not a big shopper, I gave birth to one. Boy does Rosie love fashion (you can check out her style here). So the Fashion ID people reached out to us to see if we’d take it for a test drive, Rosie jumped at the chance. What teen doesn’t want a free app that focuses on fashion. Right?
The Fashion ID app is a quick download from the app store. Within minutes, Rosie created her profile and started to nose around. She was able to select her favorite brands to follow from a drop down menu and immediately started to view looks from Abercrombie and Fitch and Holister.
The Fashion ID app allows you to connect with other fashion lovers and gives you options every time you see a look that seems like your style. You can add it to a wish list, save it to your own wall or even repost. Every time you have activity that promotes the Fashion ID app to other users, you’re rewarded with points that will give you discounts at your favorite retailers. Love an item that’s posted by Abercrombie? You can click and purchase.
All in all, we thought the app was cool. You can follow other fashion-minded people and unlike some of the other apps that target young Fashionistas, you can upload pictures of your own looks that are saved on your phone. Or, you can take a live picture and post. The only drawback? Every time you scroll down the wall and save to your wish list, the app takes you right back up to the top. Here’s the good news. It’s a new company so that glitch will be easy to fix. Do we recommend the Fashion ID app? Absolutely.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

I think that’s really awesome you can upload your own looks, I always hate when all the models on the apps look the same. Yay for “real people”!
