Summertime Tea Party

FiftyFlowers.com sent us the wholesale flowers for this summertime tea party. The blooms were cut and shipped directly to our doorstep from the farm where they grew. As always, the opinions are my own. 

Now that Rosie’s older, it’s a blast to treat our friends that have little ones to a day of fun. We had the idea to have a Summertime Tea Party and partnered with FiftyFlowers.com to make the flower arrangements and decorate the cake. Once we placed our order, their customer service team called to give us instructions on how to make our flowers look their best once they arrived. 

Once we took them out of the box and removed all the packaging, we soaked the blooms in four inches of water in big pickle buckets for a day. Our kitchen was filled with the most gorgeous blooms!

Next, I had to craft an arrangement for the table. Now, I’m not a floral designer but I think I did pretty darn good!

I also made small arrangements for each one of our guests to take home and decorated the cake. So much fun!

For food, we made little raspberry jam and ham and cheese sandwiches. We also dipped strawberries in chocolate and dusted them with pink sugar. Definitely food for princesses.

Once our guests arrived, they put on their flower crowns (look for the tutorial on that next week) and were fairy dusted. They were ready for the perfect summertime tea party.

They had a blast! After the party, they met Piper our hedgehog and played with Rosie’s doll house. The party was a success all the way around and I’ll definitely order from FiftyFlowers again when we have another party. The blooms were gorgeous and reasonably priced.
